Wreck This Journal Week Five

HOLY WRECKAGE BATGIRL, IS IT FRIDAY ALREADY?!!!!!

WOW - that went by fast. This week I felt much like Sherri felt last week after she had played baseball with her journal - now what? Throwing the book in the ocean had been such an act of spontaneity and I just wasn't feeling any thing after that. So, I followed Sherri's lead and went back to the prompts trusting that another outburst of creative wreckage will eventually emerge. And it will - I feel it a-brewin'! In the meantime here's what I've been up to this week. I finally put food in the journal. black molasses, rice syrup and strawberry jam. WHAT a sticky, icky mess that bled through several pages - I'm afraid they might indeed be wrecked. I'm also a little concerned that ants might discover my sticky sweet journal and have a party - ICK!

PS: This week I kept hearing a little voice rebelling against the prompts. There is a BIG part of me that doesn't like being told what to do.

o! an ocean of stickiness - i so admire you! can't go there...or maybe i cant go there YET? are some things simply too extreme? that may be my limit...the food/book barrier, like the brain/blood barrier, may not be crossed without dire consequence...

Oh, the last page looks a little yucky. :) Nice wrecking.

love all your pages...especially love the handprint/fingerprint page and little cute characters you made from the fingerprints! That is what I like...when someone destroys but then adds to it to create a work of art. Love it! The CHOMP (chew) page is cool too!

Being told what to do was one of my biggest issues with this book! But I think Keri Smith'd be proud if you broke the rules too...

Ummm, that book is wrecked - the food page? Wow! I bow to you.

Love your hand print page, your office supplies, those little studs up the side!, and Chomp made me giggle.

Superb!! I love the little fingerprint people!!

Oooey, gooey goodness on your sticky page!!

I know what you mean about rebelling against the prompts..I think the wreck-mentality takes on a life of its own after a while...;)

Hi Kim! So do we wait till the end of July to do the swap? Who knows what my favorite page will be by then! It changes every week as the wreckage continues! BTW - your wrecking is looking pretty good. Tee hee. Is that some kind of an oxymoron?

Isn't it funny? We read the prompts and want to rebel against them. We adults are really worse than children at following rules.
Nice wrecking job!

I love that sticky icky mess. If the ants do find it, they'll think they've gone to heaven. Nice wreckage!

Your chomp page is glorious!!!! And OMG the sticky stuff -- ewwwwww -- but fabulous. You know it's funny you said you just weren't feeling it. I wasn't either this week -- sort of just went another direction. Like the idea of "go back to the prompts". Thanks for the reminder!

Awww, thank you for mentioning! Awesome wrecking, Batgirl! Following the prompts is a great way to keep the wrecking going. After doing that last week, this week was much more inspired. Can't wait to see what else you come up with. Happy wrecking!

I took last week because I wasn't "feeling" it. Did a little wrecking this week and I can feel the urge to wreck, wreck, wreck building! Oh boy! Your sticky page and scribble page are great. All your pages are wrecking inspiration!

I've barely put any type of food in my journal, so I truly admire your wreckage. I hope the ants don't come :) The fingerprints are a hoot! I may have to do some of that with my nieces.

Bug spray! Raid that sticky page - Florida ants don't need an invite either!!

Chomp is a definite hit - don't you just love it when an unplanned comment is a hit?
